In August the heather is coming into full bloom across Scotland’s moorlands and glens. Among this purple sea you might find a rare patch of white heather, which is considered a lucky charm and is often tucked into bride’s bouquets .
Historically sold at country fairs it brings good luck to anyone who manages to track down an elusive sprig.
Thankfully you do not have to search the Scottish glens for this elusive delicate flower as designer Nicola Slaney brings you her own lucky charm.
Cleverly choosing a vase shape that enables the white spires of heather to be shown off to their best advantage, White Spires comes as a small limited edition of only 15 pieces.
Due to the low edition, demand is likely to be high, so please act fast to avoid disappointment.
Design: White Spires
Edition: Limited Edition of 15
Steve is a ceramics artist with more than 40 years experience in the fine art of freehand painted china. His exceptional talent and Meticulous attention to detail have earned him an international reputation.
Eric Knowles, the international ceramics expert 'who knows quality when he see’s it' believes this is some of the finest china available today.
Having worked for Royal Worcester and more recently Moorcroft & Kingsley (now Elliot Hall) Enamels, Steve has returned to his first love of painting china whilst using essentially the same materials and techniques. He feels that china is more vibrant, a better surface to paint on, and has a more stable finish.
He has now embarked on his career producing small limited editions of miniature china vases and boxes for sale through selected retailers who are eager to take his pieces knowing the guaranteed quality on offer.
